Comprehensive Soil Investigation for Informed Engineering Decisions

Every successful project begins with a deep understanding of the ground beneath it. Soil investigation involves a range of specialized services — from borings and in-situ geotechnical sampling to seismic refraction studies — each selected to suit the unique conditions of a site. The ability to determine the most effective testing and sampling methods for each location provides a clear competitive advantage, especially when supported by a rigorous quality management system that adapts to the evolving needs and expectations of our clients.

Precision Fieldwork
Site borings are a critical step in revealing the hidden layers of the earth. Obtaining undisturbed, representative samples allows us to build a two- or three-dimensional profile of the subsurface. Depending on site conditions, we employ methods such as continuous flight auger drilling, rotary double-barrel drilling, and wash boring. We also utilize advanced techniques, including Cone Penetration Testing (CPT) and Dilatometer Testing (DMT), as well as traditional field excavation, to examine and analyze each site with accuracy and care.

Advanced Testing Methods
To complement borings, we perform a suite of in-field investigation techniques such as permeability testing, plate load testing, and density testing — each providing valuable insights into subsoil behavior. Among the most widely used procedures is the Standard Penetration Test (SPT), in which a 140-pound weight is dropped to drive a split-spoon sampler into the soil. The number of blows required is recorded and analyzed, offering essential data for the interpretation of subsoil conditions and informing critical design decisions.

From initial sampling to advanced field testing, our comprehensive soil investigation process ensures that every project is grounded on solid, well-understood foundations.
